Getting every photo from your Halloween party
Fifty costumes, two hundred photos, and by Sunday they are spread across forty phones. Here is how to get them all in one place.

Halloween is the most photographed party of the year. Everyone dressed up for it, so everyone wants proof, and the best shots end up on the phones of people you barely know: a friend's plus-one, the neighbour who came as a traffic cone.
Set it up before the doorbell rings
- One album for the night. Name it something people will recognise when it shows up on their phone.
- A QR by the door, the drinks and the mirror. The mirror is where costumes get photographed.
- The same link in the group chat. For anyone who walks straight past the poster.
Make the costume photos easy
- Pick one wall with good light for costume portraits. A string of warm lights behind people is enough.
- Ask one friend to run a costume roll call early in the night, before the make-up runs.
- Tell people their photos go into the album the moment they take them. That one sentence gets more people shooting.
Try a midnight reveal
A sealed album is a good trick for a costume party. Guests keep shooting, but nobody sees anything until a time you pick, and then the whole night appears at once. It is a disposable camera without the week of waiting, and it gives the end of the party a moment of its own.
Afterwards
Leave the album open for a few days. The best shots tend to arrive on Sunday afternoon, when people finally go through their camera roll.
Fondays does all of this: one QR on the door, guests join on iPhone or Android, and every photo lands in one private album. The Dark Room handles the midnight reveal. Hosting is free until 20 June 2027. See how it works.
